This is a nice small Carpet Python to work with. We currently maintain 1.1 adults in the collection which were originally obtained from Bob Clark. They are a hardy species which make an attractive display animal in an arboreal enclosure. These animals are not totally arboreal ,but will make use of perches and often feed from them. These animals produced their first clutch in 2001. The eggs were removed from the females nest box and artificially incubated after the image above was taken. We produced ten perfect neonates with a 100% hatch rate. She is again gravid and in her pre lay shed.

On April 14th  2002 the female again laid ten eggs. All of the eggs appear viable and have been set up in an incubator using a no substrate method.

On June 18th all ten eggs hatched. When separating the neonates and placing them into their individual boxes we noticed that we had eleven. One of the eggs contained twins and we missed a great photo opportunity.
